Good fate gets and bad fate tests the friends (Seneca)
Premises of our company are situated in Monor. Founders of the company and a part of the colleagues working for B&K Ltd. live in Monor and also those ones who go working here have got close connection with Monor. Thats why we think Monor and people living and working here should be introduced in some lines.
Monor was 600 years old in 1998. On this occasion a book Monor Chronicle was published. In this book you can read detailed information about history, geography and people of Monor.
Here below there is some idea and a part from the book: Its an imposing feeling to think of our past, to listen to how our ancients lived, worked for theirselves and the community. Also they were flesh-blood people, were successful or not too successful, but not this is the most important! But they made efforts to find as many meeting points of people as possible. This is also our task to make a good community and to do our best together for our town! If these connections are successful our town develop and this is good also for individuals. Appreciation to our Ancients, working in the past for our present! Our task is to consider the past when thinking of our present and the future to be built up.
Monor Hegyessy Lions Club first of all supports students of our town (living in disadvantageous circumstances) and provides financial background of disabled people, spending summer holidays in camp. In the near past the activity of the club made possible to purchase an emergency ambulance, operated by the Monor medical service. At the end of 2006. they organized a concert of the world famous Bartók String Quartet, total receipts of the performance was given to the blind and weak-seeing people, living at Monor and its region.
Among the members of the club close friendly relationship developed in the past period of time so a very good atmosphere describes their meetings, held in Monor Nyerges Hotel at 19.30 on first Monday of every month.
I welcome you in the name of the Monor Region Strázsa Wine Order
In Monor there is rich tradition of grape and wine culture. After the long period of Turkish occupation in Hungary, 106 families moved back to Monor and 96 families of them had got such a big vine area, which gave 200-250 litre of wine per year. Today there are 956 cellars on Strázsa-hill. In order this unique cellar-village can be renewed, 39 keen wine-masters and local patriots established our wine order in 2000 February 3. Our main goal is to make interested people and consumers know beauty of the 187 m high Strázsa-hill and the valuable wine, being produced there. For this aim we organize professional meetings and take part on as many shows as we can.
This year Strázsa-hill Amateur Bicycle-riding Competition will be organized again by Monor FarmersClub, Monor-region Strázsa Wine Order, Monor Town Local Authority and Giant-Gyömrő Bicycle Section. The goal of the competition is to make mass sport be more popular, to organize a family sport day for friends associations, families, to present excellent and aromatic wines, produced on Strázsa-hill and to make the relevant cellars village be more popular.

I have got good news for you dear Visitor. It's a good thing to be an invited guest in Finland.
It was 2 years ago when my wife and me travelled there upon invitation of our partner company OY ELTETE AB, Mr. Pehr Östermann and Mr. Pekka Heikkila. I can remember of a fantastic country and its unbelievably friendly people. Summer is very pleasant, not too hot, days are long, you can take excursions, nature is wonderful, everywhere you can see bright green! Moreover it was a real surprise that the average temperature of the lakes is 24 °C, you can swim, even after 7 o'clock in the evening. People are friendly, hospitable and when they know that the guest is Hungarian their kindness even rises. We could visit first of all Loviisa and its region, a place where life could be pleasant. We remember of its calm, large squares, beautiful streets, small shops, the market, full of fresh fish, the hotel and the hospitality of people living in Loviisa. Salmon smoked at homes in various ways is fantastic! As guests of Mr. Pehr Östermann and Mr. Pekka Heikkila we could experience atmosphere and taste of family hospitality and nice food. We thank them all this beauty and experience also in this way. For you dear Visitor we show some photos, perhaps you will wish to visit this wonderful country one time. It's worth visiting Finland!
It was a real pleasure for us to be invited again by our Spanish supplier, Mediclinics SA and we could spend some days with them. We have been shown their working methods, production system and we had got useful negotiations. Besides the work we had possibilities to look at their beautiful city and to taste their delicious dishes. We saw passionate flamenco dance, listened to excellent jazz music. We thank for friendly hospitality to them. Please have a look at some photos we have taken during our visit. We hope managed to show you beauty of the city, its atmosphere.
